Saxon Trainor

I believe acting is a joyful and creative experience and auditioning can be just as powerful. Auditions are a reality of the business. Too many actors suffer through the process instead of, embracing the experience. I teach how to create a specific and accurate world, focusing on what’s important in the story. This allows YOU as an actor, to have a life experience within the audition.

Saxon Trainor began teaching actors privately in 1998. In 2000 she started teaching at The Margie Haber Studios in Los Angeles where she taught both the Advanced and Intensive adult classes. The highly successful Reel Kids and Teens program were her creations as well. She also holds workshops for international actors; teaching them how to audition and work in the U.S.

She works in a practical way that translates into results. Her teaching focuses on creating a specific and accurate world to live in, as opposed to just “acting.”

As a coach, she has had the privilege of nurturing the work of many artists. Rami Malek (The Pacific, Larry Crowne, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn), Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick Ass, Hot Tub Time Machine, Nikita), Douglas Smith (Big Love), Jordan Hinson (Eureka), Judi Shekoni (Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn), and Summer Bishil (Towelhead) are just some of the actors she has supported on their creative journey.

Saxon is also a professional actress with extensive experience in film, television, and theatre. She has studied with legendary acting teachers such as: Stella Adler (Stella Adler Conservatory NYC), Sandford Meisner (Neighborhood Playhouse), Glenda Jackson, Zbigniew Cynkutis, Joanna Rotte, Diana Castle, and Harry Mastergeorge. Saxon is thrilled to be a part of Annie Grindlay Studio.
