Annie Grindlay is an actress, a teacher, and most importantly, a nurturer of the artist within the actor.
Annie began teaching the art of auditioning at The Margie Haber Studio in 1988. For 20 years she honed and perfected what it means to “tell the truth” and in 2009 opened her own studio, “The Audition Experience.” As a coach, she has helped many actors on their way to groundbreaking careers. Rami Malek (Oscar Winner for Bohemian Rhapsody and star of Mr. Robot), Greg Tarzan Davis ( Top Gun Maverick and Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1) Jaina Lee Ortiz (Series Regular on Station 19 and Rosewood), Manish Dayal (Series Regular on The Resident), Ego Nwodim (Series Regular on Saturday Night Live),Zuri Adele (Series Regular on Good Trouble) and Jake Lockett (recurring on Chicago Fire are just a few of the actors Annie has had the privilege of working with.
As an actress, Annie has worked on numerous film and TV projects, most notably guest starring on Three Rivers, Strong Medicine, ER, Arliss and Blind Justice. As for film, Annie can be seen alongside Jon Cryer in Plan B, and Matt Craven and Michael Biehn in K-2.
Her extensive stage credits include lead roles in Lou Gehrig Did Not Die Of Cancer (Second Stage Theatre. LA), Suburban Anger (Playwright’s Arena, LA), Dove (Hudson Theatre, LA) and most notably, the LA premiere of Why We Have A Body at the Tiffany Theatre.
Annie has studied with Sanford Meisner, Margie Haber, Howard Fine and Diana Castle.
