Audition and Business Mindset
Why This Class?
Audition and Business Mindset is an Ongoing audition class with a twist! This acting and career empowerment class is designed to provide a well-rounded regimen to develop concrete audition skills, business accountability, and encourage networking within the professional entertainment world. We also focus on creating accountability in a supportive environment to keep students on track with specific career goals. Actors at every level are welcomed to this class.
Students are admitted as space becomes available.
What to Expect
Four classes per month, time will be divided as follows:
Week One: Drama Focus is on-camera 40 minute preparation technique.
Week Two: Comedy Focus is on prepared sides given at least 48 hours before your class in a simulated on-camera casting session.
Week Three: Drama Focus is on-camera 40 minute preparation technique.
Week Four: Focus is on business accountability in a supportive environment. Students discuss their current situation in the industry and where they would like to be. Achievable goals will be created and discussed in class, and students are encouraged to take planned action steps to take their careers to the next level.

Jo-Ann hosts a free class once a month where you can take a deep dive into audition confidence. This sample class is not just a lecture – it’s a real working class and all actors who attend will have the chance to perform. We will also cover your questions about the business of acting.
